Very relevant to today's society, and the fact there is a collective that feels as you do, the only difference is, most cannot separate as you did. Separate, knowing there is hope in serving God and knowing when we believe we no longer serve this world, but live in hopes of a better world in Heaven. I love the zinger and apple 🥧.

Thank you for your comment. I am grateful for those who signed up to be able to comment. Most responses to my posts are through email. It is amazing to see how many people are giving me advice to lift my spirits. It's ironic though, since the point of my post was to express myself which got me out of my temporary depression. Like I wrote to the reader Chris, my goal is not continuous happiness, that's for eternal life, my nature here on earth is to be strong. Take care and God bless you, Lynne. Always, Regina.

I think many can empathize with your thought that the opposite of depression is expression. I like that. As you also state, critical thinking and faith are less tolerated. Actually it is a fact. The decline in attendance from mosques to roman catholic churches has been occurring for decades. But it doesn't mean you conform. A few guides for you and other that I like:

Romans 12:12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Matthew 7:13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Matthew 19:26 “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Matthew 24:13: “but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

Thank you for these Biblical quotes. Wisdom lies in the scriptures. My intention for writing the post was to write which brought me out of the depressed feelings. I moved into expression by writing the post. I really like the image of the narrow gate in Matthew 7:13. In my Women of Grace study there was a quote, "suffering is the stronghold of strong souls." My goal isn't to be happy at all times, that's for eternal life, here I want to be strong.
